Youth Literacy Day

Today (8/26) is youth literacy day. The 826 branches are celebrating by inviting adults to exercise their pens and send them a piece written in 8 minutes and 26 seconds. Chicago is aiming for an ambitious 82.6 pieces, and if you get stuck, they offer several writing prompts compliments of 826 students. Here’s mine if you need an example. Go to and happy 8/26 day!
